Spring Wishlist

Well it’s apprently my Spring Break, however Scotland doesn’t seem to have recieved that particular memo.  Snow was just lasing down five minutes ago.  Also, I have my Higher finals in under 6 weeks. only freaking out slightly.  So, what’s my solution to all this?  Online shopping of course the modern girls alternative to a stiff drink. So this is a short wishlist of things I’ve been drooling over for the past few weeks:

1)   Clinique’s Anti-Blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel and Clarifying Lotion.

If you’ve read my latest entry you’ll know I’m having some skin issues and I’m using Clinique’s Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Bar to treat the problem.  I’m very impressed and wanting to try some more of the range.

Anti-Blemish Solutions Clarifying Lotion 200ml

2)   Cle De Peau Luminizing Face Enhancer #11

This may just be one of the most stunningly beautiful products I’ve ever seen, but at $95 this is pretty out of my reach.  But look at the beautiful pastel colours.  Maybe one day I’ll be able to afford the splurge because I really think these would look great on pale skin like mine.

3)   Guerlain Nuit d’Amour Rouge Automatique

This is a beautiful vampy lipstick I discovered on Temptalia, however I don’t know if these are actually still being made.  Ah well, a girl can dream.  Check it out on Temptalia’s site, you won’t be disappointed it’s stunning.

4)   A Muubaa jacket

Muubaa make the most beautiful leather jackets I’ve ever seen.  I own a lovely varsity style leather jacket by Urban Code, but these just surpass that entirely.  The designs, cuts, and materials just scream quality and beauty.  These are my two favourites, and I’d love to buy one of these for winter.

Anyway, now that I’ve racked up an extortionately priced imaginary shopping cart, I’m going to go study my butt off and drink hot chocolate.

Skin Diary

Okay so at this moment in time I have exams looming and I’m stressed to the max.  My skin does not cope well with stress.  In the past 2 weeks I’ve had a succession of nasty breakouts which have left my skin spotty, rough, bumpy, and red. This obviously has gotten me down somewhat and yesterday I decided that I had had enough.  I went out to my local Debenhams and purchased Clinique’s Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Bar, it has rave reviews on Makeup Alley, Boots, and the Debenhams website so I decided to give it a try.

So I’ve decided to track my progress on here, I’ll update once a week with pictures of my skin and notes on how it is , hopefully, clearing up.  At the moment it is rather painful, inflamed, and unpleasant looking.

So not exactly the image of glowing youthful beauty right now. But you can track my progress with this top product, my routine is basically just a mild cleanser to remove my makeup and a light exfoliation, but now I’ll be using the Anti-Blemish Bar as a treatment of sorts.

Typical Clinique packaging, the colour is one of my favourites and to get completely off topic is the colour I want to use in my bedroom.  Back to the bar, you get a 150g of product which is a large amount, I didn’t realise quite how big it is until I was washing my face with it.

The Bar comes with a lovely and well made soap holder, this is a stroke of genius by Clinique as I can imagine there would have been some very angry customers left with a rapidly disintegrating bar without it. For £13 this is the level you really expect, well done Clinique.

Beautiful packaging, reminds me that Clinique put effort into their products.  If you haven’t realised by now,  I’m quite taken with my first Clinique product.

Well I’ve used this three times and so far my initial thoughts are that this is slightly too large for my liking and I may have to cut it in half, however the actual bar leaves my skin feeling really clean but not stripped, soft and moisturised not coated and greasy, and I feel it is already soothing and calming my redness.  There is a slight smell but to me it’s nice, to me it smells of cleanness.

I have a doctors appointment in 3 weeks for the problem, so it’ll be interesting to see if this bar can clean up my skin by then. I’ll update next week some follow up pictures and will be strict with myself to use this twice a day.
